The Instituto Nacional de las Artes Escénicas y de la Música (INAEM) is an Autonomous Body that is a dependency of the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport, with functions that include promoting and disseminating musical, lyrical, choreographic, theatrical and circus activities.
Its work in the area of dance ranges from aid for companies, associations, festivals, competitions, publications and the assignation of National Awards to dance creation and performance. In addition, the INAEM possesses two centres for choreographic creation, the Ballet Nacional de España and the Compañía Nacional de Danza, and regularly organises dance performances in the Zarzuela Theatre, one of its creation and exhibition centres. The INAEM numbers amongst the sponsors of the Teatro Real, Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Teatro de la Maestranza.
With this objective, Danza.es was born.
In Danza.es, professionals will find comprehensive and useful information relating to their work. They are even afforded the possibility of contacting other professionals to find work or become involved in projects. Fans will be able to acquire up-to-date information and become better acquainted with the reality of this fascinating world.
We have attempted to endow the portal with an attractive and straightforward appearance, offering fast and easy access to each section, wherein the reliability of the information provided to the user is considered of prime importance. The Ministry of Culture and Sport, presents Danza.es as a public asset, open to all, irrespective of the style in question: it is a portal for all forms of dance.
