Urtzi Aranburu

Destacado intérprete, ha bailado en el Nederlands Dans Theater durante más de diez años

Afamado bailarín de reputada trayectoria, se presenta Urtzi Aranburu como una de nuestras estrellas más internacionales. Su carrera profesional la ha desarrollado fuera, y la compañía Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) con sede en La Haya, figura como su casa artística. Hasta ella llegó en 1991, y en la prestigiosa formación que dirigió Jirí Kylián durante 25 años, ha bailado durante más de diez años. Primero, en la NDT II, hermana pequeña del Nederlands destinada a bailarines jóvenes. Después, en la NDT I, donde destacó desde 1993 como brillante intérprete, y en la temporada 2003/4 como asistente del coreógrafo Jorma Elo también. Sus interpretaciones en aquellos escenarios donde se ha presentado la compañía holandesa, colman la trayectoria de Aranburu de grandes elogios e interesantes invitaciones. Una de ellas se produjo en 2001 cuando Saburo Teshigawara reclamó al bailarín donostiarra, para formar parte de una creación de Karas, compañía que dirige el creador japonés. Formado en ballet clásico en la Academia de Danza de Mentxu Medel y en danza contemporánea en la de Iñaki Landa, las dos en San Sebastián, Urtzi Aranburu, que empezó en la danza estudiando bailes vascos con Lorenzo Gorrotxategi, es profesor en el Conservatorio de La Haya desde 2005.

Famed dancer reputable track record, Urtzi Aranburu is one of our international stars.
